Art Piece Commentary "Chairs"
So, just what is it with this Cubic (Cubism) Abstract art piece? Well, it is metaphoric meaning this
chair really is there in its symbolic attire, but yet, it is non-existent simply because it has been
completely dismantled, indicative of the fact, in reality to the viewer, that they can not recline in
this chair. Should anyone attempt to do so in this rickety chair, they would develop a distorted
body, as well as chronic pain, thus developing a moody disposition, so move-on to the next chair?
Most chairs are manufactured short of satisfying orthopedic specifications, which leaves us al
l in devastating back pain, which the artist can attest to over the many years with chronic spinal
dysfunction, Facet Joint Disease !
The color psychology implemented in this art piece is as follows; the cadmium red represents the
chronic pain endured if sitting in this chair; the complimentary tints and tones represent the mood
swings resulting thereof; the cadmium yellow tells the viewer to move-on and look elsewhere for
another chair with an attitude change; and, the permanent green literally says, "Don't be so cold
about the issue at hand".
This art piece abounds in symbolism and is a strong projection upon the artist's imaginative
creativity which prevails in all of his artwork.
