THEMATIC COMMENTARY TO "BIAUTE` ABSINTHE`"
Most viewers would look upon this art piece only to ask themselves, "What is it?",
even though art is not completely interpretative or representational. This image
conveys a personal emotion carried around in my mindset ever since I was five
years of age, so I applied this psyche to my artistic palette to forget it forever, a
released freedom.
This story reverts back to 1948 which deals with a social worker who worked for the
State of Alabama. I never knew her name and I suppose no other children in the
foster home venue really knew it either simply because she was too ugly to think
about the name. Her ugliness was a reflection of her meanness she perpetrated
upon children. Ugliness indicative of facial "chicken like" features, ugliness
personified coupled with cruel manifestations that generated a negative
personality, a two-faced disposition. Her cruelty was dumping foster children in
deplorable foster homes where they were mentally, physically and sexually abused.
This social scenario still exists today throughout the America society without much
regard for the little children. I don't even think she loved herself. She was a sight to
behold from the very last hair strand to the last toenail. She hardly had any bodily
tarsal supported by bird legs and stumbling over her clodhopper feet. Cruising
around the red muddy countryside in her " Düsseldorf" Cadillac.
The title "Biaute` Absinthe`" is a part of this art piece due to its aesthetical thematic
application. The word "Biaute`" is from the French vernacular meaning beauty.
The word "Absinthe`" is a derivative of the French word "Absintheism", meaning
ugliness is tainted in green shades of wormwood which possesses bitterness and
ugliness. So, the title "Biaute` Absinthe` " means beauty's ugliness. Also, the word
"absinthe' " dictates the facial color schemes to be green.
So this is the finale of my song !
